4. Prematurity, learning to feed in the NICU, and expressing, with Helen Nightingale

In this episode I interview Helen. Helen is a Registered Midwife and is also the mum of one year old Emilia. Helen had a high risk pregnancy, being diagnosed with pre eclampsia and delivered her baby by caesarean section at 35 weeks, Emilia was born weighing in at just 1.6kg. I asked Helen to be a guest on the podcast as I knew she would be able to give the listeners some insight into learning to breastfeed and express with a baby in the NICU. Helen graciously shares her journey which includes navigating the health system, expressing, bottle refusal, managing a frequent breast feeder and so much more.
