Hello to all the baddies. You may have read or heard of "The 48 Laws of Power." That book is amazing and I highly recommend it, but if you've read it, you probably noticed that it's very...masculine.

Well guess what?!?

I'm launching a new series: The Hidden Laws of Power (for women). This is a feminine twist on the Laws of Power, with emphasis on how we can take advantage of the systems that are meant to control us (e.g. the patriarchy, women's beauty standards). It's basically a series of life hacks.

In this episode, we're discussing Law #1: Don't be humble. We'll be getting into:

- Why humility is a scam and how it's meant to control us

- How to use humility and confidence to push our self interest (and when to pretend to be humble)

- An example of how one of the greatest scientists of all time, known as a "humble genius," didn't get a lick of recognition for his work

- How to stop being humble while not coming off as a douchebag

About Neeki: I earned my Bachelor’s in Public Policy with High Distinction and went on to complete my Master’s in Political Science, both at the University of Toronto. I've been invited to present my research on how underdogs build and leverage power at conferences across North America. Before launching this podcast, I worked in management consulting, advising senior executives at some of Canada’s largest companies. That’s where I learned firsthand that power isn’t given – it’s either taken or created.
