However, the patriarchy made us believe the complete opposite, because accepting excuses keeps power where it is. The patriarchy is based on repetition: people repeat the same behaviours, institutions repeat the same patterns, cultures repeat the same stories.

The thing is, excuses are data, they reveal so much info!!! They're breadcrumbs people leave behind because they're not careful in covering their tracks...
