Taiwan Hit with Massive 7.4 Earthquake, Trump Proposes 'Christian Visibility Day,' Karen Kingsbury's Film Debut

Top headlines for Thursday, April 4, 2024

In this episode, we start with the devastating news from Taiwan, where a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, the strongest in 25 years, has caused tragic loss of life, hundreds of injuries, and widespread destruction. We then shift gears to the United States, where former President Donald Trump criticizes President Joe Biden for commemorating Transgender Visibility Day on Easter Sunday, proposing instead a Christian Visibility Day.

The conversation takes a spiritual turn as we discuss Pope Francis' revelations in a new book, where he recounts Pope Benedict XVI's support for his stance on legal civil union protections for same-sex couples. Lastly, we dive into the world of Christian fiction with Karen Kingsbury, one of today’s most beloved authors, who shares her experience self-funding the film adaptation of her novel Someone Like You.
