Under the microscope this month is Tarantino's half of the Grindhouse double feature, Death Proof. The movies we will be investigating to see if he simply referenced them in this film or blatantly ripped them off are, Richard C. Sarafin’s, "Vanishing Point" (1971) & Dario Aregento’s, "Bird With The Crystal Plummage" (1970). Sitting down with me this month to assist with my investigation is Ryan Adkins (Splatterhouse Podcast). So join us as we get to the bottom of wether or not Quentin Tarantino is in fact a master filmmaker or just a scene stealing, glorified hack.
