33. The Calling and Resources of the Pastor - The Gospel and Character (2010)

The Calling and Resources of the Pastor - The Gospel and Character

Kern Family Foundation Pastors Conference

Theme: Character Formation

July 6-7, 2010

Dallas defines character as acquired essence. “It is your identity as shaped by your experiences, and especially your choices, and interaction with other people.”

The first session in this 4-part series will give us a good understanding of what character is and how it is affected by our beliefs about the essential questions that shape human life. Dallas points out that the Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20) includes character formation: that’s what we’re doing when we make disciples and teach them to do everything Jesus said.

The overhead transparencies Dallas used in this session are collected in a document you can download here: https://dwillard.s3.amazonaws.com/Kern-Character-Conference-1.pdf
