The real danger, he explains, lies in separating Scripture from the heart of God and using it as a tool for manipulation, which is a grievous misuse of the Lord’s name.

David ends the segment with a sobering reflection: mishandling God’s Word is not just poor theology—it’s spiritual peril. He explains how the misuse of Scripture is the deeper meaning behind taking the Lord’s name in vain: not swearing, but claiming to act in God's name while actually dishonoring Him. He warns against using the Bible for personal agendas, political leverage, or empty slogans. Instead, believers are called to rightly divide the Word of truth, being led by the Spirit and rooted in relationship with Jesus. The final prayer asks God for forgiveness where any misuse has occurred, and for divine help to handle His Word faithfully, humbly, and accurately. It's a strong call to integrity, urging listeners to be Christ-centered in both heart and interpretation.
