Canada will make their Eurovision debut in 2027

After a few years of rumours and gossip, we finally have official confirmation that Canada will be joining the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027. With the North American nation debuting in next year's contest, we find out why they were welcomed into the family from Eurovision Director Martin Green.

We learn when those discussions with Canadian broadcaster CBC first began, how their EBU membership is about far more than the song contest, and what happens if they were to win the competition and therefore the right to host the following year's contest.
