Episode 12 - Ten Years of The Dark Knight - Part 1, The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005 - 2012).

Episode 12 of the Film ’89 Podcast is the first of a special two-part celebration of the 10th anniversary of Christopher Nolan’s seminal 2008 masterpiece, The Dark Knight. Skye is at long last joined from Melbourne, Australia by Film ’89’s very own Haydn Spurrell. As well as having recently published his own comic book, Chimera, Haydn is a huge DC Comics fan and in this first part the guys take the deep dive on the films that form Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy; Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). They explore both the origins of and making of the films, their themes and Nolan’s unique approach to adapting these iconic characters to the big screen as well as the huge impact this stunning trilogy had on not just the comic book movie genre, but on the world of film as a whole.
