Since it’s debut at the Venice Film Festival, where it won the prestigious Golden Lion Award for Best Film, Joker is a movie that has been the subject of much controversy with its themes of society’s ill-treatment of people with mental health issues, it’s anti-hero stance on vigilante violence and it’s overt social commentary, Joker is a comic-book adaptation like few others.
