PLAY RETRO 82: The Oregon Trail

Player leads a party of five from Missouri to Oregon. Manage supplies, hunt for food. Cross rivers, face illnesses. Make decisions: which path to take, when to rest. Random events: broken wagon wheels, snakebites. Goal: reach Oregon alive, high score. Developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, Paul Dillenberger. Originally in 1971 as part of their senior teaching program. MECC adopted the game and made available to schools.
