Sodder Children Mystery | The Dark Record | Ep. 08

On Christmas Eve, 1945, the Sodder family home in Fayetteville, West Virginia, was consumed by fire. Five of George and Jennie Sodder’s ten children never emerged from the flames. Authorities ruled that they had perished in the blaze—but no bones, no teeth, no trace was ever found. For decades, the Sodders pursued every lead: strange threats, severed phone lines, vanished ladders, mysterious sightings, and even a cryptic photograph claiming one child had survived. Was it a tragic fire, or something far more sinister? In this episode, we unravel one of America’s most haunting family mysteries—the disappearance of the Sodder children.
