EP. 5 - The Down Boys - Hair Metal, Influences and what inspires them to continue moving forward

Welcome to the haven of rock podcast, we got a great episode! Today we have an up and coming hair metal band from Harrisburg South Dakota and they are the Down boys.

What I like about this band is that they’re young! These guys are on high school. For a band that is playing hair metal and from high school... That's pretty badass. When I was in High School I was the only rocker guy who was into the bands that these guys were into. I was the only one with long hair up to my chest, Motley Crue and Poison T-shirts, tight pants and leather jackets. None of the kids listened to what I listened to. That just goes to show how specific this genre is, which is why I love that there are younger bands starting to carry the torch of Rock n' Roll. It's one thing to be a fan of the music, but for you to play it live, then you have love it, capture the audience and own your craftsmanship and that is exactly what these guys do!
