Bangladesh's Forgotten War: The Silent Struggle of the Jatiya Razzak Force

While the 1971 Liberation War is well-documented, the internal betrayal by local collaborators remains a complex shadow in Bangladesh's history. This episode explores the formation and actions of the Jatiya Razzak Force, a paramilitary group aligned with West Pakistan during the Muktijuddho. We examine how political opportunism turned neighbor against neighbor, focusing on key figures like Abdul Malek Ukil and the ideological clash between the Jamaat-e-Islami party and the secular Awami League. Through the lens of specific incidents in Dhaka and Chittagong, we uncover the human cost of this civil conflict and how modern Bangladesh has grappled with the legacy of these collaborators in its courts and collective memory.
