Suicide: The Synth‑Punk Duo That Rewired DIY and Transformed Industrial

This episode explores Suicide—Alan Vega’s and Martin Rev’s pioneering use of synths and drum machines to create a raw, minimal sound that fused punk attitude with electronic experimentation. From their early Max's Kansas City gigs and the controversial release on Red Star to the ripple effects through industrial giants like Nine Inch Nails, we trace how they expanded DIY ethos beyond guitars, influenced synthpop, and redefined what “punk” could mean.
