Team Dresch and Queercore: Building Communities

This episode explores how Team Dresch, the trailblazing all‑female band from Olympia, forged a queer punk identity within the Pacific Northwest’s DIY scene, partnered with Lookout! Records, and helped create a nationwide network of venues, fanzines, and touring networks that amplified queercore. It covers their key releases, touring strategy, and the social spaces they built for LGBTQ+ youth in an era when punk was still largely male‑dominated.
