The Queers and Ramones‑Style Punk: From Portsmouth Roots to East Bay DIY

This episode follows the Queers’ rise from a New Hampshire basement band to a staple of 90s pop‑punk, examining how they preserved the fast, three‑chord Ramones blueprint while infusing their own humor. It looks at their relationships with independent labels like Lookout! and Hopeless, the DIY touring circuits that kept them on stage, and the lasting influence on later pop‑punk acts.
