The Slits and the Birth of Post‑Punk's Dub‑Driven Sound

This episode delves into London’s all‑female band The Slits, tracing how their raw punk energy fused with reggae rhythms and dub production to forge an early post‑punk aesthetic. We explore lineup changes, scene dynamics, DIY recording tactics, and the band’s 1979 Clash tour, and examine how they paved the way for later feminist punk movements.
