Youth Crew Hardcore: Reviving Positivity and the DIY Machine

This episode follows the rise of the Youth Crew hardcore scene in New York during the late 1980s, tracing key bands such as Youth Of Today and Gorilla Biscuits, their partnership with Revelation Records, and how their straight‑edge philosophy reshaped the local underground. We explore the DIY infrastructure—from small pressing runs to all‑ages venues—that made this revival a sustainable movement rather than a fleeting fad.
