Episode 213 - Jennifer's Body (2009)

Welcome to The Horror Project Podcast! Join Laura and Phil as they sink their teeth into Jennifer’s Body (2009).

When cheerleader Jennifer Check is sacrificed to Satan by a struggling indie rock band, things get… messy. The non-virgin ritual turns her into a flesh-eating succubus, leaving her bookworm best friend Needy to put a stop to her bloody rampage.

We get into the film’s razor-sharp dialogue, Devil’s Kettle, that killer soundtrack, peak-00s fashion, hairstyles and emo music. Plus, we unpack Jennifer and Needy’s complicated friendship, Hollywood’s never-ending hunt for the “next hot girl,” and those delightfully terrible Satan-worshipping indie rockers, Low Shoulder.

Grab your lip gloss, turn up the emo, and join us for some seriously bitchin’ horror chat.

Thanks for listening!
