Poor Communication | Cleaning It Up When You Get It Wrong!

In this episode we’re not talking about your kids having poor communication, but about when we as parents just make a mess of something. Sometimes we are able to hold our cool until a certain point, and then it becomes really hard to maintain that level of composure. Accountability, compassion, empathy, and getting down at your kids’ level are all a part of being the right parent for your kids.
“When I went to get cross with them, where I wanted to be frustrated, I said to myself ‘But Rosie this wouldn’t have happened if you were there, and you sent them out to walk the dog so you could tidy up’ and I realized that’s the part of the conversation that I need to take the blame for, but I also need to help them realize that we’re a team and that when they go out, they represent themselves.” 3:20
