Jaden Jeffs interviews Addison (“Addi”), who grew up in the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB) in a polygamist family with three mothers and 21 children, later leaving the group and marrying her husband Mark. They compare the AUB with the FLDS, discussing differences in dress standards, secrecy and lying about polygamy, marriage/courting practices, leadership scandals, and how publicity like Sister Wives affected perceptions of polygamy. Addie describes family moves from Utah County to southern Utah into trailers, grief after her toddler sister was killed in a car accident, and how that contributed to religious OCD/scrupulosity, compulsive praying, and anxiety.
