If you were kicking around the UK alternative music scene in the late noughties, then you might have heard English born, Malaysian raised Josh Weller peddling his music under his own name – number 11 in the indie charts with a slow moving bullet, baby!
After that he was in the punk outfit The Kenneths, who were really good actually. But in recent times Josh has become much better known for his comedic chops than his guitar ones, becoming a much sought after name on the UK comedy circuit. In August he takes his Age Against The Machine show to the Edinburgh Fringe, which sees him mining his - and these are his words – ‘failed career in music’ – for insight and laughs. But mostly laughs I reckon. Oh, and if you’ve just started Season 3 of The Witcher, keep your eye out for Josh playing the part of the accordion player Boris. And, if you like Formula 1, alert your ears to the Dirty Air podcast, which Josh presents with fellow comedian Alfie Brown. Blimey, I thought I was busy!
