The episode I published yesterday, number 188 with Sci-Fi Steven from Bis, featured the guitarist in my favourite ever band. And this one? It features one of my very best friends, Mariel Loveland from New Jersey indie rock darlings Candy Hearts, electro pop wonders Best Ex, and now… um… just Mariel Loveland!
Mariel recently released her debut solo album, With A Smile, on friends of the podcast Alcopop! Records, and so I thought it was finally time to get her on the podcast for a chat about its release - and so much more. I was a bit worried that our conversation wouldn’t be patch on our usual 2am struggle sessions, but I think we did okay, especially given that it was very late at night and I was full of cold.
