Episode 28: Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne/Black Label Society)
I’m speaking to a bona fide rock legend on this episode – Zakk Wylde! The man behind the six string for Ozzy fucking Osbourne as well as his own band, Black Label Society, which he also fronts. That band have a new record incoming, their 11th, on November 26th – it’s called Doom Crew Inc and it’s a bit of a gem actually. I probably like it more having spoken to Zakk – not in a ‘you’re a nice guy, now I have to like your music or it’ll be awkward way’ (although that too, to an extent) but in a ‘I really think I understand where your music comes from and resides’ way. I love talking to musicians, I really do. But hey, we’re 28 episodes deep into this podcast now, so you've probably guessed that...
A bit of a heads up. There are places during my chat with Zakk where the audio goes a bit skewy – I think it adds to the world worn Nooo Jersey vibes. I hope you can overcome it.
