Marc Johnson, a distinguished American jazz bassist, rose to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of Bill Evans’ final trio. Renowned for his warm tone, lyrical phrasing, and rhythmic sensitivity, he has led groups such as Bass Desires and collaborated with Eliane Elias, Joe Lovano, and Pat Metheny.
