1 Kings, Chapter 22 (part 2) - God Doesn't Forget | Prophets of Israel Daily

What happens when it looks like evil has won and forgotten wrongs have disappeared? 1 Kings 22, the final chapter of the Book of 1 Kings, reveals that God’s justice may take time, but His word never fails. As Ahab’s story comes to its devastating conclusion, we also meet Yehoshafat, a king remembered for staying on the right path. Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel complete the Book of 1 Kings and explore the powerful lessons woven throughout its final chapter. Ahab’s death fulfills Elijah’s prophecy with remarkable precision, while Yehoshafat offers a striking contrast, a king who was not perfect, but who remained committed to walking in the ways of his father. The chapter closes with Achazyahu repeating the sins of his parents, raising a timeless question: Is seeing the truth enough to actually change us? In this chapter: -Ahab’s death and the fulfillment of Elijah’s prophecy -The certainty and precision of God’s justice -Yehoshafat and the power of steady faithfulness -Why faithfulness does not require perfection -Achazyahu sees the consequences of his father’s choices—and repeats them -The major themes and lessons of the entire Book of 1 Kings - The enduring covenant with the House of David and its significance for Israel 👉 Sponsor a Prophets of Israel Daily session: https://thelandofisrael.com/become-sponsor/ If these daily journeys through the words of the Prophets mean something to you, consider sponsoring a chapter, a book, or a dedication in honor or memory of someone you love.
