Filipino Cinema: Buy Bust

New Episode Alert! This week is Filipino cinema and we are talking about the 2018 action thriller ‘Buy Bust’. Brutal, violent and filled to the brim with uniquely gritty fight sequences, we discuss everything ranging from director Erik Matti’s political commentary, Anne Curtis and Brandon Vera’s FANTASTIC performances, as well as Sonny Sison’s innovative and ambitious FMA based choreography. Although structurally its plot line is very similar to other action films before it, I guarantee you that you have never seen anything quite like it in its execution! I had the pleasure of going to see this one in theatres when it first came out two years ago, and you can go back and see my initial post/review on Instagram from that time as well! ‘Buy Bust’ is currently on Netflix, so if you haven’t seen it I suggest you go and check it out!!!!
