Marea Goodman is working to make family building safe and accessible for everybody

In this episode, Liz talks with Marea Goodman, a midwife who specializes in LGBTQ+ fertility and birthing care. Marea runs her own practice Restore Midwifery and recently co-authored a book titled Baby Making for Everybody: Family Building and Fertility for LGBTQ+ and Solo Parents. Marea discusses some common misconceptions about midwives and how society fails in caring for new mothers. She also explains the many forms that family building takes in queer communities and for solo parents
