We break down how looking at the film through this Neverland lens completely changes the tragic ending into a twisted victory.Plus, Dr. Matt brings his medical expertise to break down the brutal reality of 1940s battlefield medicine, the true effectiveness of early penicillin against necrotizing fasciitis, and why you should absolutely never stitch your own face the way Captain Vidal does.We also uncover the heavy WWII history layered into the film, discuss the practical effects behind the horrific Pale Man (aka the "Ozempic Stingray"), and reveal how a New York cab driver literally saved this masterpiece from disappearing forever. As always, we give our official out-of-ten ratings on story, rewatchability, fun, emotional impact, and science realism.
