Shogun TV Series Review

Daniel, Shahbaz, and Anthony review SHŌGUN, an FX television series and original adaptation of James Clavell’s 1975 novel from creators Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks. Set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Lord Yoshii Toranaga is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him, when a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village. The series stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Cosmo Jarvis, and an ensemble cast. Shōgun premieres with two episodes on Disney+ in Canada and on Hulu, and FX in the United States February 27, 2024, followed by new episodes weekly.
