Interviews With "Christy" Stars Sydney Sweeney, Ben Foster & Filmmaker David Michôd

"Christy" is an American biographical sports drama film about the former professional boxer Christy Martin, played by Sydney Sweeney (she also served as one of the film's producers), directed by David Michôd and co-starring Ben Foster. The film chronicles Martin's rise to becoming America's most well-known female boxer in the 1990s, and later her husband's attempt to murder her in 2010. The film had its world premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for Sweeney and Foster's performances. Michôd, Sweeney and Foster were all kind enough to spend a few minutes speaking with us about their work and experiences making the film, which you can listen to below.
