"The Brutalist"

For this week's second podcast review, I am joined by Dan Bayer, Giovanni Lago & Brendan Hodges to review and discuss the latest film from Brady Corbet, "The Brutalist," starring Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, Isaach de Bankolé & Alessandro Nivola. The three-and-a-half-hour film (with an overture, 15-minute intermission, and epilogue) has generated waves of enthusiastic praise, critical dissection, and astonishment over its independent production (shot for under $10 million) for creating such a grand and epic cinematic experience since its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. What did we think of the story, its themes, the performances, cinematography, production design, and score? Is it about the journey or the destination? Please tune in as we discuss these elements, its awards season chances, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!
