In Part #10 of our history of the 1/8th Off-Road IFMAR World Championships, Lefty and longtime Kyosho legend Mic Cradock explore Davide Ongaro’s historic run from 2018 to the present day.

They revisit Ongaro’s breakthrough victory in Australia, the controversial post-race gyro inspection, and the unforgettable 2022 battle against David Ronnefalk at Redován. The conversation then moves to the 2024 Worlds, where Ongaro became the first driver to win three consecutive IFMAR 1/8th Off-Road World Championships.

Lefty and Mic also preview the upcoming Worlds at Thornhill Racing Circuit, examine the European and American drivers capable of challenging Ongaro, remember Derek Furutani, and discuss Mic’s collection of unseen RC racing footage from the 1990s.
