Today we get acquainted with two women whose work would set foundation for Norway's 'Golden Age' of music - the age that gave us Grieg, Svendsen, Backer-Grøhndal, and others. Alas, because of the male-dominated state of publishing, both Olea Crøger and Camilla Collett had to have their work published along with work done by men. Effectively, their names faded into the background as their work remained front and center.
