Executive producer and writer Dave Goetsch is back this week to discuss “The Luminous Fish Effect,” the episode that marks Laurie Metcalf’s first appearance as Mary Cooper, Sheldon’s mother. Dave recalls the early days of the show, including casting Laurie.
