Case 1.09: Emanations

The Voyager writers room goes to war against euthanasia and narrative consistency (again)! The Voyager crew inadvertently disrupts the natural order of life for a pre-warp species (again)! Also: Janeway shares some comforting thoughts about the possibility of an afterlife and Torres sort of flippantly kills an interdimensional visitor with a science experiment. Will the (very temporary) death of Harry Kim be enough to reserve this episode a corner booth in the Next Emanation, or will the court leave this one to rot on some distant asteroid? Is “Emanations” good… or is it garbage?
