A Pain in the Gas

The plaintiffs say they had a gas leak at their home, and the scammer defendant, a plumber, took advantage of them. They’re suing for being overcharged. The defendant says he was called out on an emergency job in the middle of the night and he explained his rates. They wanted the heat fixed right away, but now they’re suing a year later. The plaintiff says she loaned the defendant, her co-worker, some money because she trusted her. She also loaned the defendant’s husband a Bible and he hasn’t returned that either. She’s suing for the outstanding loan. The defendants say the plaintiff already sued them over the loan and won, and they repaid her, so they don’t know why she’s after them again. They’re countersuing for work done. The plaintiff says she was out buying diapers when the unlicensed defendant ran into her car pulling out of a parking spot, and he crumpled it badly.
