Being Nasty to a Niece

The plaintiff loaned her aunt — the defendant — the money to buy furniture, but now she’s refusing to pay the plaintiff back. She doesn’t want to sue, but she needs the money back. The defendant claims her niece jumped the gun and bought the furniture without her permission, so she doesn’t owe her a thing.  Then, the plaintiff says her disabled son accidentally let their dog out and the defendant ran the poor animal over. She’s suing the defendants for vet bills. The defendants claim the dog ran in front of him out of nowhere and then took off.  Plus, the plaintiff says he bought some furniture from the defendant’s store, but something came up two days later and he needed to return it. The defendant claimed there were no refunds, but the plaintiff says the receipt doesn’t explain that. He’s suing for a refund.
