Creating a Sibling Rivalry

The plaintiff claims the defendant, her brother, moved out of her home and stole her television and refused to pay rent. Now she’s suing him for money she’s owed. The defendant argues that he couldn’t stand living with his sister, and he packed up and moved out with his own television. He didn’t steal anything. Then, the plaintiff says his car broke down on the side of the road, and the defendant rebuilt his engine. However, there were new problems with the car he never had before. Now the car is in worse shape than before, so he’s suing the defendant for the money he’s owed. The defendant says he fixed the car two years ago and gave him a one-year warranty. The plaintiff didn’t even pay for the repair –– his mother did. After a year, the defendant says the plaintiff just wanted to get rid of the car.
