Expensive Tow

The plaintiff says he towed a crashed car at the police department’s request, but now the defendant is refusing to pay the towing and storage fees. She also hasn’t picked up the car, so he’s suing her. The defendant says the plaintiff waited a week to inform her he had the car. She claims he’s a scammer and she owes nothing.  Then, the plaintiff says he dropped off items for dry cleaning at the defendant’s store, but he accidentally left some jewelry in them. He says the defendant told him she put the items in her safe, but then said she gave his things away to another customer. He’s suing for the value of the missing jewelry. The defendant claims she found the jewelry on the floor and says no one called about it.  Plus, the plaintiff says she hired the defendants to steam clean her home, but they backed their truck into her fence and knocked it over. She says they sent her a check for $100, but it cost $2,500 to fix, so she’s suing.
