Failing to Take Responsibility

The plaintiff says she paid the defendant, a shoemaker, to create custom sneakers for a school reunion, but it took 10 weeks and the reunion is long past. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant blames the shipping delays on COVID.  Then, the plaintiff says she prepared an audit for the defendant’s condo board but has not been paid for her work yet. She’s suing for the cost of the audit and a late fee. The defendant argues the plaintiff completed the audit before it was even approved by the board.  Plus, the plaintiff says the defendant was a pastor a nearby church who backed into his car and damaged it. He claims the man keeps dodging him, so he’s suing for the cost of repair. The defendant claims the plaintiff parks illegally in front of his church even though he has a handicap placard.
