Fishy-Sounding Accusations

The plaintiff says he met the defendant at work and ended up renting a room from her. He claims she accused him of stealing $900 from her, so he moved out after she told everyone at work. He’s suing for the security deposit she owes him, plus defamation. The defendant says she caught him digging in her purse and filed a police report, and claims he destroyed items in her home. She’s filed a countersuit for damaged property.  Then, the plaintiff says she bought a townhouse from the defendant, who didn’t disclose the terrible termite problem. She’s suing for all the fumigation fees. The defendant claims the unit had no violations at the time of the sale and doesn’t owe the plaintiff a dime.
