First, the plaintiff says she rented a duplex apartment from the defendants. She claims they ignored a damaged gutter, which allowed critters to get into the attic and keep her up all night. She claims they invented fake damages, and she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendants say the plaintiff broke her lease, and they sent her a list of the damages. They deny owing her any money. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to take in her daughter’s prom dress, but he cut it up and changed the whole style. The dress was ruined and she had to buy a new one, so she’s suing for a full refund. The defendant says he’s been sewing for 59 years and did exactly what the plaintiff’s daughter had asked for.
