Leaving an Ex High and Dry

The plaintiff says the defendant is her former live-in lover and he owes her for half the bills, so she’s suing. The defendant claims he paid his half of the bills and says his ex is only suing because she’s jealous he has a new baby with a younger woman. Then, the plaintiffs say they gave the defendant a deposit for their son’s bar mitzvah, which got canceled through no fault of their own. He won’t return the money, so they’re suing.
