The plaintiff says she rented a house from the defendant, but to her horror, it was infested with mice. She and her son moved out after one night, but the defendant won’t return her rent and deposit, so she’s suing. The defendant says the plaintiff put a stop payment on the check, so he doesn’t understand why she’s suing him. He’s countersuing for rent owed.  The plaintiff says he owns a boat repair service and did some work for the defendant twice, but then the defendant had the credit card company reverse payment on him for no good reason. He’s suing for what he’s owed.
