Stealing a Tabby

The plaintiff dated the defendant for four years. She says when she and the plaintiff broke up, the defendant ended up getting custody of their cat. She says they agreed on a deal for the defendant to take care of the cat until she got pet-friendly housing, but now the defendant won’t give the cat back. She’s suing for the cost of a cat and hotel expenses. The defendant argues the two never had a discussion about what would happen with the cat, and she doesn’t think she owes the plaintiff any money.  Then, the plaintiff says she lived in an apartment owned by the defendant for five years, but she was then told to leave. The defendant refused to return her security deposit, so she’s suing.
