Stiffing an Ex

The plaintiff says she met the defendant on a dating app and loaned him money. Now that they’ve broken up, she says he’s ignoring her, so she’s suing him for repayment. The defendant claims his ex showered him with gifts and says he owes her nothing. He’s countersuing for emotional distress and lost wages.  Then, the plaintiffs say the defendant built them a pool and retaining wall that collapsed into their yard and damaged it. They say the defendant refuses to cover the costs, so they’re suing him. The defendant says the did the work years prior and still agreed to fix the wall, which he did.
