Tug-of-War Over a Car

The plaintiff says she bought her old car back from the defendant and it reeked of pot. She claims the defendant kept the title, and then snuck onto her property and stole the vehicle. She’s suing for the value of the car. The defendant says the car is in her name, and she can prove it.  Then, the plaintiffs claim their landlord took advantage of them by making up damages to keep their security deposit, so they’re suing to get it back. The defendant says he needed to buy a new dishwasher and fix damaged walls. He claims he already returned part of the deposit and doesn’t owe anything else.  Plus, the plaintiff says she referred people to the defendant’s CPR classes in return for a fee. She claims she sent her hundreds of students and is suing for what she’s owed.
