Rachel Bujalski

On today’s podcast I speak with photographer Rachel Bujalski. Rachel has worked with clients such as National Geographic, The New York Times, ESPN, and WIRED to name a few. In this interview I speak to Rachel about her experience living on a sailboat for 3 years and photographing a project about people living off the grid in alternative housing which was published by National geographic. I also speak to Rachel about her approach to writing and specifically an article she wrote and photographed for the NY Times on the unhoused crisis in California with over 150,000 people living in shelters or outdoors on the streets. In 2020 Rachel won an Emmy for her documentary work with ESPN and was also named one of The 30 : New and Emerging photographers to watch out for. Rachel is someone who’s work I have great admiration for with her ability to tell very intimate and important stories on very serious issues.
